2000 seems to be fine, I've only had those emails for pre-1999 dates

Reselling to a few mates won't do you much harm, but it grows very quickly as they show their friends and everybody comes to you for IDs.

Buy a few for some mates then quit entirely, if you don't do proper OPSEC you'll likely get in a lot of trouble.
